events Programme

Tales On Moon Lane are involved in a year-round programme of events, from school author visits and literary festivals to book launches and in-store workshops. We are super-excited to meet new and established authors and bring their stories to children.

Rebel Girls Reading, Q&A, and Signing

Friday 28th February at 4pm

Signing session 4.45pm

To celebrate the launch of two new chapter books in the Rebel Girls series, Tales on Moon Lane are thrilled to welcome Elena Favilli, author and co-founder of Rebel Girls to the shop.

Elena will talk about her inspiration behind the series; and read from her newest book, Dr. Wangari Maathai Plants a Forest, followed by a Q&A with the audience. She will also be doing a signing session at the end.

Elena Favilli is the co-founder and CEO of Rebel Girls, the cultural media engine working to empower girls and women all over the world. Growing up in a small village in Tuscany, Elena was the only kid in town and drew inspiration from the strong women in her family. In 2015, testing out a new idea to provide greater access to female role models, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls was born. The book went on to become the most crowdfunded book initiative in history.
