Our friendly, knowledgeable and well-read staff led by owner Tamara Linke ensure you will always receive the highest level of service while shopping at Tales on Moon Lane. We are committed to making books and reading fun and our staff are happy to spend time ensuring the right book goes to the right child. Staff favourites are easy to source in our extensive ‘Moon Lane Recommends’ section.

We run a fantastic programme of author events centred on our bi-annual Festival of Literature in May and October Half Terms. Author visits from big name authors such as Darren Shan, Cornelia Funke, Lauren Child, Andy Stanton and Michael Morpurgo as well as TOML favourites like Chris Riddell, Emily Gravett and Timothy Knapman & Adam Stower ensure a large variety of exciting events for local children. Regular storytelling sessions and our Children's Book Group are also a big feature of life at Tales on Moon Lane. To enhance your shopping experience we offer a free gift-wrapping service, Tales on Moon Lane vouchers and a fast and reliable customer ordering service with next day delivery on many titles. We also run a Loyalty Card scheme for our regular customers. If you would be interested in joining please enquire in store.

We offer a first book free to all new parents in conjunction with the NCT and Usborne books. If you did not receive a voucher in your NCT pack pop into the shop and we can arrange a replacement.

Our extensive schools service includes ordering, covering and delivery, organising author events and book weeks; please see the Moon Lane Education page for full details. We are happy to stay open late for groups of teachers to visit the shop by prior arrangement.
